I don't know what to tell you man. There's saying, and there's doing. To me, Trump's nothing but a poser. You can't say you're gonna be tough on IP theft and then obliterate the department(s) that can do the most damage. You can't claim being tough on Chinese trade violations (ZTE) and then undermine your own DOJ's sanctions.

I don't know how big an issue IP theft via hacking (which I'm guessing is the bulk of it now) was during past administrations. It's a relative newish crime and multiplied as more companies expand online. I know Obama harped about it a few times, but haven't looked into it too much....I think he started the cyber unit that Trump decided to scrap if memory serves me right.
