Hit my PR...

on flat bench and oly snatch this week (390x2; 250). Hitting the PR was a goal for the year and now I intend to lean-out for the Summer. I'll be traveling for four months starting the first week of June so I intend on dropping from 255 to 225. I'll post an EOW workout and diet summary.

6'3" at 258 in the pic last month. Biceps a hair under 19". 50" chest; 36" waist. Got the 11 Pro Max so better images forthcoming. No shirt off as you queens can only get so hard.

Hit 405 for two today... a new PR for me. Pumped about it as I have dropped 12lbs and am a bit leaner than this pic posted as poopydeek.

The second rep was suss as I didn't touch the chest as I had to use safety straps for the spot. I don't know if I can toss the weight back on to the straps if I fuck up.

That's a big lift. Congrats. I have seen plenty of guys get near 400, but over 400 gets much tougher, both physically and mentally. Well done.

So you've been working out for a long time, you're in your early 50s, and you're hitting new PRs? You need to write a book.

D,nothing but respect, but if you are over 50, watch out for your shoulder joints with the weights you are tossing...

Been there,done that

My teres, delts, infra and traps are really overdeveloped. I do a lot of stretching, overhead and incline movements. I just wanted to break 400. My kids were in San Diego so I didn't have a spot. I couldn't find the spring or OSO collars and my other collars are 2.5 each (Ivanko) so I went without. The weight was dipping pretty good left and right. The second rep wasn't legit.

I use squat stand uprights inside the cage so I can self-spot. It's not without some risk. So basically, yeah, it was dumb. I've dumped 315 on the straps w/o damaging the bar.

I felt a bit like Rollie Free; not quite as dramatic.
