EXACTLY why so many of us oppose eroding the second amendment ever more.Quote from RedDuke:
...but criminals do not care about any laws.
You have a source for that? In any case, armed robberies are hardly the only crimes committed with guns and other weapons. That being said, most of armed robberies end up without any casualties. Criminals usually interested in getting your wallet and not shooting you.
Depends entirely on the situation. It's easy for you to rationalize I wouldn't have a chance so why bother carrying at all.Let's say you have a gun, but someone comes from the back and points a gun at you and ask for your wallet. You won't even have a chance to use your gun. As he back away, would you pull a gun and try to shoot him?
LOL Maybe that was a mistake. You should have taken more math and science classes to give you a more logical mind.Quote from RedDuke:
I happen to study history a lot. Btw, one of my favorite subjects.
I said it before, and will repeat it again, Semi automatic AR15 and the like will not help against government should it turn against citizens. The weapons that might help, are prohibited from hands of citizens already. It is not me not being bright, it is you who are naive and a bit brain washed.
Quote from AAAintheBeltway:
I saw a cartoon in the WashPost today with the head of the NRA aiming an assault rifle at a child.
What kind of hatred twists someone enough to even draw such an obscenity, much less publish it?
Oh, probably the same kind of hatred that drives twisted degenerates to publish caricatures like this one of President Obama.
Or, Would you say it's okay to publish parodies that compare President Obama to a maniac who actually attempted genocide, as this one of many Tea Party leaders have done?

1)There are plenty of other scenarios where I could easily use my pistol to defend myself. I'm not going to leave it at home because I MIGHT not be able to use it in some of those scenarios.
2)IF in my take on the situation, I felt I could. I'd make like I'm reaching for my wallet and pull out my .45 instead, either we'll both go down in a blaze of muzzle flashes or more likely the would be robber will flee. I say more likely because the stats indicate this happens far more often than not. You've said yourself repeatedly, they want my money. They don't want to die getting it.
3)As much as I'd love to in a perfect world. It's very unlikely I'd shoot someone as they were fleeing. Even if they just robbed me. Generally speaking it's either outright not allowed or at the very least it would open yourself up to prosecution.
(Defense lawyers generally charge a lot more than what I carry in cash.)

But AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE we are protected by the Constitution from over reaching zealots like yourself who would make our decisions about what weapons we should have or not have. C'est la vie.
Just what you professed.Quote from RedDuke:
You make assumptions about me without knowing anything.
The laws will be changed, to which extent, who knows.
I travel all over the continental US and have never needed a gun yet. But then I haven't needed my life insurance policy yet either. But I keep paying the premiums just the same. (carrying for when I might need it)Quote from RedDuke:
