GM was the leading company in the country's most important industry. For decades, it sold more cars than any other company in the world. What we now derisively call the Rust Belt was the industrial heartland of the country, producing vast wealth for not only the car manufacturers but suppliers from iron ore miners to steel mills to component makers. The unveiling of GM's new models each year was a huge event, eagerly anticipated by the public and those lucky enough to be GM dealers.
So pucrum thinks getting sucked by two guys might be enviable. Lmao.
