Gallup - Majority Say concealed weapons make US safer

I think you know better, or perhaps I'm just giving you too much credit. Here's a link to LEAPup's thread:

http://www.elitetrader.com/et/index.php?threads/getting-some-pizza-in-americas-largest-city.277689/

Scary, isn't it? "We've given blacks damned near everything we can possibly imagine." So you can imagine how well he came across to the black patrons in the restaurant. And be sure to note Lucrum's post where he wrote that he wanted to go to that particular pizza place with LEAPup. And how LEAPup then wistfully responded how that would have been something, Lucrum with his 1911 (?) and LEAPup with his Glock. Evening the odds. Of a NON-EVENT! THESE people own guns! If that doesn't trouble you, then you're a loon like Scat.

Then I guess I'm a loon like Scat. Lots of people vent all sorts of things on this forum. You obviously have no friends with any testosterone in their blood. People get worked up all the time, and then fantasize about what they would have done differently. I'm not condoning Lucrum or Leap's post about anything (I haven't read it, admittedly).

But people who have proved themselves in the military or the police without event are usually trustworthy. Only the speech Nazis like yourself think everyone who says something you don't agree with is an outright racist or should be locked up, banned, etc.

Another article written by people who know nothing about firearms whatsoever. There is no such thing as a "silencer". It's a "suppressor" and anyone who understands them knows that they don't really "silence" anything (unless you really know what you're doing and use the right ammo).

The vast amount of murders committed with firearms by street thugs would not change simply because suppressors would be available.

I'm curious do you believe fully automatic should be available for public consumption too?

Do you set any limits?

It sure would be interesting to see this chart without suicides, and after the removal of deaths caused by illegally owned firearms (which you can't ban).

Suicide rate in US per 100k has been roughly stable since the end of 90s (very modest increase) but I don't have the numbers in absolute.
The chart was a demonstration in how to manipulate with statistics.

Far from it, many spree killings have been by people that had been in the military. It's a filtration system but a flawed one because what someone did in their early 20s isn't a very reliable indicator for their act in their 40s and 50s. If anything, the military and police attract people who prefer to solve problems with violence. Pacifists rarely glorify guns.

They both get their testosterone from a vial. Both of them. Evidently some discount reptilian shit. LEAPup because he's been juicing for so many years that he can probably wash his nuts in an eye bath, and Lucrum because he wanted to lose fat and, no doubt, his man boobs. So you've got a real dynamic duo there.

The other thing is that these guys carry their guns and go looking. LEAPup was basically getting ready for a confrontation because people weren't smiling at him ("I wiped the grease off my gun hand, and started eating with my left hand."). The guy is insane. This isn't about "fantasizing," as you characterize it. These guys are actively gunning for action, looking for a reason (i.e., excuse).

Oh, and that thread you haven't read? You posted in it twice.

Then I guess I'm a loon like Scat.
Yeah, no argument there.

.

I didn't even realize which thread you were referring to, because as I said, I had not clicked the link. If Lucrum and/or Leap were truly "seeking confrontation" as you so shrilly claim, they'd have found it. It's not all that hard to find a situation where you cause a confrontation. No, more likely they were just yammering on about some wet dream on what they'd like to do. So you can rest easy, pop another Prozac (or whatever other pharmaceuticals you are on to hold the outrage at bay) and focus your attention on something other than two individuals who barely remember you exist, much less are focusing on you in the way you are obsessed with them.

LEAPup: "I wiped the grease off my gun hand, and started eating with my left hand."

Evidently, you are no less pathological than your friend.

Assuming that wasn't exaggeration for the story telling aspect, he probably felt unsafe because the guy kept staring at him. I don't expect a sissy like yourself to understand the possibility that someone else, in a place you know nothing about, could have felt like he was threatened and might have been exposed to violence and didn't wet himself because of it. I've been in uncomfortable situations like the one he described. The hairs on the back of your neck standing up and your 6th sense is telling you something just isn't right. When I've had my firearm in those situations, I felt slightly better. This doesn't mean I was getting ready to waste everyone in the room in a rampage.

I don't expect a cretin like you to understand this concept, so let's just get back on the topic of useless gun control suggestions and let whatever supposedly happened to a member no longer on this forum remain in an obscure story, years ago when it happened.
