If bad guys have guns and are willing to harm me, I'll keep guns. If that's not logical, then I'm ok being illogical (and safe). Logic in Moonbat land is to politely give the bad guy your money and hope (you can't pray, as that isn't logical) he just goes away.

Geez, anybody with half-a-brain should see it. (1) Wackos shoot up churches, movie theaters and college campuses, as nobody there is carrying... likely even proudly proclaiming "gun free zone". (2) Wackos don't shoot up donut shops, as they are likely to have police patrons at all times... and them guys ALL CARRY GUNS!

It sure would be interesting to see this chart without suicides, and after the removal of deaths caused by illegally owned firearms (which you can't ban).
I don't know Scat or Leapup in real life, so it is difficult to judge whether they should legally be entitled to carry a weapon or not. Both were in the military, however. So the US Government thought they were fine.

As for myself, I'm not macho about anything. I'd prefer not to need a gun, but not all of the rest of the world allows for that to be a safe thing to do. I've had several conversations with "Leap"... he's an ex-US Marine company commander with ME combat experience... even been wounded a time or two... he strikes me as being "squared away" for owning guns, as required. His parents live in Colorado, about 50 miles away from me.
I'm not a firearms pro by any means, but I did some hunting as a kid and was on the high school rifle team. I didn't carry a firearm in the military, but even in the Air Force they required annual proficiency qualification with the M-16.
I don't claim to "like" guns, but I'm relatively proficient out of perceived necessity.
If somebody threatens or intends to shoot/stab me, I'd rather shoot him first if I can. That's the only legit/right reason to carry for non-criminal citizens.
