$1k is simply not enough...the margin for error is nil...Realistically with a tiny account I'd be more inclined to go for some deep OTM options and see if I could get a run going...Just a few small, sharp cuts in the futures markets will put that account to sleep in no time.

With 1k trading futures risk management will struggle. I wish you the best. I did things like that myself in the past and they never worked out in the end. You could experience a row of great trades, but in the end it's the case of Icarus flying too close to the sun.
Bottom line, need a high win strategy.
Even if it does not work out he still can make money from it. He should ask a small commission on the volume of postings he generates for Baron.
