The problem with CFD is that it moves in an increment that's different from ES. It ain't a 0.25 move per tick.

Yes it is "free" just like you get free checking if you keep X number of dollars in the account.

Have a zero balance at some point, no longer free.

You basically sign up and pay a monthly fee through your futures broker.

For example, AMP futures charges $1 for CME tier 1 or $3 for all GLOBEX (CME, CBOT and NYMEX). This is pretty much the same with most brokers.
