Fear and loathing in Las Vegas

And yet you believe Health Care is a Right? Correct me if I'm wrong?
I have not given much thought to that. Do you think it is a right? I think in the U.S. at the present time it isn't? So I guess the question is, should it be ? I also think that a society in which sizable numbers of people can not afford access to routine dental and health care is not a very attractive or desirable society. I don't consider, "treat and street" access through the emergency room as satisfactory, efficient or cost effective. I haven't met anyone yet that does. So why are we delivering health care that way? In the U.S. the debate seems to be about how best to assure that everyone has access to a reasonable level of routine dental and healthcare, to include, naturally, mental health as well. Once we get off the superfluous question, "is it a right?", we can move on and work to solve our primary health care problem which is that costs here are twice that in any other industrialized nation. If we bring the costs down to what they are in other countries we'll have largely solved our access problem.

ron paul did not confuse anything. maybe its the filters you employ when taking in truth that conflicts with your team's big govt less liberty loving, ferguson protest funding, soros owned lie/spin.

Soros is no philanthropist. He makes investments in the under class which he can then manipulate as a political wedge. He has a goal in mind and that is the destruction of America. The man is a fascist in the truest sense of the word, a Nazi war criminal who should have been strung up long ago.

I am finding that many on P&R forum have grievances against Soros.
Personally, I had only heard of him because of his mega win on Cable.
Can you really let us know :
1) do you know him? if so how?
2) have you ever met him ? have you ever discussed with him face to face?
if so, what impression did you have of him when meeting him in person?
3) if you have never met him face to face, who do you rely on to make your opinion of him?
do you rely on his own statements, third party statements?
4) as there seem to be grievancies against him, if you rely on third parties statements:
- what do you know about these third parties?
- what is their agenda and real motivation?
- have they met Soros face to face, in what circumstances ?
- what do they have to gain when slandering (?) Soros : fame? feeling good to tear down someone?
what is it they are really getting?
- what have these people done and achieved in their own lives?
- have these people concretely helped others?

I am all for finding out about Soros, as well as those who seem to be on a vendetta against him.

Maybe the vendetta against Soros over the last decade is due to his documented actions including pouring money in groups that make our neighborhoods and country much less safe.

The outrage over some of Soros' actions is well-deserved in the opinion of democratic minded people who pay close attention. His other actions involving funding NGOs focused on tearing down barriers in closed countries run by dictatorial leadership probably deserves some measure of support.

What you are expressing here are really negative F-E-E-L-I-N-G-S about Soros. And justifying these negative f-e-e-l-i-n-g-s with generalities.

Can you put links on the tearing down barriers in closed countries run by dictatorial leadership ?
I would really like to study the sources you use that build your negative feelings.

There have been a significant number of postings about Soros on ET over the past years. Many of these posts include in-depth sources with articles etc. - I would urge you to use the ET Search function for "Soros" and gather your information.

I actually had a debate with one poster about some links put on Soros.
I was trying to really check how true all of these were and it came down to again FEELINGS.
If you have posts on these barriers being lifted from dictatorial leadership places, these would be very interesting. I am not sure, but it seems that Soros funds try not to go and fund dictatorships. But may be I am wrong on that one.

LOL. So basicly you're saying that we can't have an opinion unless we know a person or have persoannly met with people who are doing any investigations? Well, that would certainly fit with the ideology of the PC speech anf thought police. There are multiple sources to find whatever one wants on Soros. He's an unapologetic radical leftist. The only positive thing I can say about the guy is he makes no attempt to hide his contempt for a civil society. You have to respect an enemy that just comes straight at you.
