There are no ghost patterns. These guys have very defined edges which they fiercely protect. Saying “we are running a profitable strategy fo 15 years and still don’t know why it makes money” is nonsense.

I heard him quoting former Renaissance CEO Robert Mercer to the effect " ..signals that make no intuitive sense do indeed work ..." which they (at the time of the quote) have been using profitably for 15 years.

So you, I assume like me are a "small" trader, are doubting the words of a former CEO of a trading goliath? Correct?

Never work on quantative strategy , its complete waste of time.
Absolutely useless, i have never seen someone make money with it , i never profited from it, the moment i turned my models on i lost tremendously and i keep losing to this day.
