I thought it was an urban legend - I'd be surprised if a shop like RenTech would research strategies without a strong prior.

Steve was not working at this primitive level like write a line of code...

Instead of primitive tools like text editors etc. he probably used UI sketches of final product and voice controlled AI technology in other words(biorobots , coders, programmers).

Trough my meditative state I asked aliens to give some information from higher up.
I was able to receive a message in morse code that later translated to:

but that’s just a made up reason. It has no basis in research : like someone didn’t say I think warm weather makes investors more optimistic because warm weather means more economic activity.

So you, I assume like me are a "small" trader, are doubting the words of a former CEO of a trading goliath? Correct?

You assume correctly, but there’s big difference between the BS these companies put out to the press/public and what they actually doing. Now I am very far removed from these places to know for certain, but I would make a bet that not only they have concrete edges, they are actually manufacturing the edges themselves. Of course if they tell you all this, they will be hated by the public just like Citadel and the likes. Math geniuses who cracked the markets is a much better PR image to have when you extracting billions from other people pockets.
