let me say this:
a lot of trading careers were ended the past 21 hours.
not only here on ET but everywhere.
marketsurfer was taken out (on another thread).hes gone for good.I notice the usual cast of characters are not here today either.Did they blow up too?
I called it.All you had to do was buy the dips......

That was a very impressive call, made the day after what appears to be the major significant low of the year. I finally turned around on my short bias during the first week of September. The prices available on 17 August 2007 in certain stocks I follow makes me want to cry.
FWIW, Richard Russell, the 86 year old newsletter writer, called this right as well. He was long an initial position on the DIA's a few weeks ago. I have several newsletter subscriptions, and he was the only one to call it. Most of the others had you building a concrete bunker in your basement and making ready access to a wilderness survival cabin out in the boonies.
Bottom line, don't fight the Fed, even if you know they are wrong and destroying the thing they are trying to save.

keep an eye on the yield curve differential between the 10/30 year...early signs of positioning for any turn in equities..will be able to be seen here..
I anticipate we trade between 1550-1520 (30 point average range in spooz) till recession or no recession talk subsides.
