The announcement comes a day after FBI Director James Comey held a press conference in which he said “no reasonable prosecutor” would pursue a case against Clinton, even though she and her staff were “extremely careless” in their handling of classified material.


Lynch's statement provides further relief to Clinton, whose presidential campaign has been dogged by the email scandal, which spawned myriad probes and lawsuits, some of which will continue even as the DOJ’s investigation ends.

“Late this afternoon, I met with FBI Director James Comey and career prosecutors and agents who conducted the investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email system during her time as Secretary of State,” Lynch said. “I received and accepted their unanimous recommendation that the thorough, year-long investigation be closed and that no charges be brought against any individuals within the scope of the investigation.”

As discussed, you are saying she did not recuse, even though she had the Tarmac meeting and even though Comey himself stated that he felt "queasy" when she told him to not refer to it as an investigation and to tone any language down that could hurt the campaign.

Yup, I see that and those are all things that the jury should consider.

The general consensus amongst the intelligence community is that Russia did try to influence the election. Trump even admitted it as well at one point.

You can argue that the deep state is against trump, blah blah; but that only proves that you are more focused on the land of Trump than the Land of the Free and the Brave.

Nope. No crabwalk away from it. I am okay with how you put it. Loretta was conflicted and Comey said he felt queasy about her conflict, yet she -just as you said- just played a charade of recusing but actually remained as the final decisionmaker. Yup. We agree on that.

Because Obama/Clinton officials are still running things. Tillerson has been slow to replace them at State and Sessions is a very weak leader whom no one at Justice fears.

In a democrat administration, outside leftwing groups would be working hand in glove with the government. Why wouldn't they, since a big part of the democrat playbook is to fund them through extorting banks and big corps to fund "community outreach groups?" Conservatives are too busy fighting intra-party battles over intellectual purity.
