If Loretta was too corrupted to make the decision then it would fall to the Deputy Attorney General- not the FBI Director. Most people who are experts in the field (and even trump himself) have acknowledged that Russia meddled in the election. To what extent, they are still studying. To what extent trump was aware, they are still studying.

I see. So you are arguing that Lynch did not actually remove herself as the final decisionmaker. She met on the Tarmac with the husband/former president of the person who was the absolute focus of her agency's investigation but did not recuse herself. That's fine. Let the current FBI/AG continue to investigate that, because they agree with you- she was conflicted but still calling the shots. Comey agreed with that too.
