Hey, I appreciate you explaining that to me. I kind of understood it anyway. The problem with me gaining some sort of following is that they keep shutting down my handles, and when I'm forced to come back as someone else, its hard for people to keep track of me.
I know that there are some on this board who are interested in what I think of the market. And that's purely a product of the amount of correct calls I've had recently.
I called for the S&P to rise to 960 (when it was 900). I also called for the Dow to rise above 9000, and now I've turned bearish and made a short trade on the S&P 500 in my new journal. But I'm forced to do it under a different handle, so its hard to keep track.
If I were to have done it your way, I probably wouldn't have been fucked with like I am now, you're right about that. But I'm not so quick to give away my methodolgy. You see, I don't think this ET community has earned the right to know what's in my brain. They have earned the right to see me make winning call, after winning call. And that's my way of fucking with them. I make a great call, and then put it squarely in their face.

I've attached your trade for people to see visually where you entered. You're obviously using different (smaller) targets via multiple contracts. I have the feeling you were "playing" with your new software a little bit on this trade
In the classical sense of this thread i.e. 1 contract going for 15 pts, this was a 'no go' as a trade. The pullback to new highs took us to new intraday highs (fom new intraday lows) which broke a rule, plus we'd have about 12 bars after the pivot low before the breakout occurred. I prefer (though it's not a cast iron rule) pullbacks to be in the region of 2-6 bars. I also had a bearish outlook in the first hour and took a trade in the ESTX50 which I've shown on the chart - but I'm not going to discuss reasons because such trades are a complete thread in themselves!
I'll check out the new Bracket Trader when I get the chance.
This is a good example of the homerun vs batting average dilemna. Doesnt matter if your entry signals are good - but I prefer to get the same 15 pts sooner. I'm already a convert from a pullback trader to a BO trader.
There was another long BO signal later (good for 20 pts) but there was no previous pivot bar because of the gap down.
Your 2nd system looks good also.

I really should look at BT before asking - but what BO order are you using: stop or stop-limit? How do you account for those times with TWS transmits the wrong fill information to BT (e.g. Fill is 0). There are many quirks with IB's API that rear their ugly head from time to time: usually with YM and the Eurex symbols. What's your workarounds with BT?
