amazing thread.
rs was certainly out of his mind to engage max in all his bickering.
max is obviously certifiable and as rs's wife seems to believe has shown himself to have the tendencies of an obsessive stalker. the fact that rs played into his hands doesn't change that fact one bit.
fpc is an obvious psycho. if he isn't, he certainly is trying hard to convince everyone he is.
complying with his wife's wishes was the one sensible thing rs seems to have done without any doubt at all. whether she is paranoid or not, that is irrelevant. if she felt in danger, he had to respect her wishes. it has nothing imo to do with being under her thumb as optional seems to think. going along with your wife's wishes does not diminish a guy's manhood.
i don't read a lot of what goes on here and certainly the drama of this thread would not have even normally gotten a response from me. i never took anything on et with any degree of seriousness and could in general care less about this kind of thing. but i found the subject matter interesting. because indeed there is a new phenomena that is very real which is about crime and the internet. fear and loathing on ET. it may seem funny, but it is not. the world gets to be a more dangerous place every day. the internet, like everything else, has it's downside. putting people together can work either way. for good or bad. unfortunately we hear much more about the bad. the good doesn't make the news.
i looked at the posts that lead up to this. found it interesting enough to actually go back and look beyond this most recent max/rs dialogue. man, it really was endless. that one or the other can blame the other is a joke. they were both equally guilty. rs for letting it happen, and max for making it happen. imo, both are completely nuts. just one guy seemed more benign, and one seemed more out for blood. so with that in mind, i think max was the more crazy of the two. rs the dumber of the two.
rs indeed gave max the number of his realtor in what seemed a very foolish move. but max obviously did not call the realtor to get the selling price. he did real research. (i am a realtor and i know how this works) and i can see how that could be a scary trait to the wife of rs. that really does qualify as stalking. this isn't just my opinion. this is a fact that is easy enough for anyone to see.
i also read a bunch of posts by guys who have contributed heavily to this thread.
optional seems like he just loves to debate. so anyone who disagrees with him is going to get their debate. on any subject. he is smart, he is funny, and he is completely out of his mind.
nitro just seems to be in it for amusement and seems to have no real interest in making any meaningful comments. just running up his leading post numbers. seems like a good guy. and a friendly and well meaning guy. but his humor is not in the league of the the leaders. he is an amateur when it comes to comedy. he shouldn't even bother.
hapaboy seems like the only completely normal guy here except me of course.
someone faked quotes by rs and that was such a lame attempt at humor that even the very ill fpc did not bother with responding. it was totally stupid and childish.
someone else said rs was a big admirer of al gore. but when i read the recent posts of rs and max, i saw that only days ago, rs had only bad things to say about gore, so obviously people will say anything to make a point here and facts seldom seem to come into play for most.
i see the whole thing as a very disappointing statement on the behavior of all. i always thought rs was interesting and i also thought max was extremely intelligent. but no question they were both equally at fault for their dance of destruction.
if rs was foolish enough to give max his number, the context seemed that it was in good faith. there is no denying the point rs made that max seemed afraid to deal with real life encounters. but still, rs was obviously quite mad to not have realized this long ago.
if rs was foolish enough to invite fpc to dinner,, then he indeed has serious mental problems. but as he said, and as was born out by reading the post in context, it was not a serious invitation. if it was, and i am wrong in my interpretation, then indeed, rs is the most crazy of the whole lot. but somehow this doesn't seem real.
candletrader is for sure the funniest of all. the only problem is i don't know if he knows it.
