You obviously have a much different dynamic with RS than I do. As I stated in my post to FPC, I don't think he has ever lied to me about the "small talk" items we discuss - music, cars, guitar playing, etc. Your relationship with him goes back further than mine, too.
I guess I fail to understand why, if you think he's such a prolific liar, you just don't put him on Ignore and be done with it. As far as his Burma spy stuff which you say he admitted to embellishing, I'm a veteran and I take no umbrage with his claims. For all we know RS may indeed have done some covert activity over there - or as you and FPC think, he's full of manure. Regardless, why let it bother you? You're never going to be able to prove it, one way or another, unless he feels inclined to photocopy his military records and send them to you...
We all have to deal with doubts about others in every day life, and I think the majority of us let it slide if it doesn't affect us personally. A female friend of mine is married to a guy who always is on his way to making millions via a new scheme he's come up with. Every time I see him it's all about money, money, money and the new Cartier watch he's going to buy for her, blah, blah, blah. He's been saying that for years and years and years. I think he's full of sh*t but I never tell her or him that because it doesn't affect me or threaten me in any way and, frankly, it's none of my business.
Same thing with RS/Error: how do his claims affect you personally? What impact is it going to make on your personal life whether or not his selling price was 400K or 500k? Why should you care or bother to spend the time calling his realtor?
As a point of clarification, I'm apologizing to you for the "investigating" comment. I read the Florida thread and see that RS did post his realtor's number out there. But again, why would you even care enough to bother calling her?
There's a difference in arguing about general social issues and what you and Error/RS have going here - it's very similiar to Optional's obsession with Don Bright, which, aside from being humorous because Optional is scared to acknowledge to Bright's face who he is when given the opportunity (i.e. Bright's hosting parties at the Hard Rock in Optional's neck of the woods), shares the aspect of being PERSONAL in nature.
Bottom line for me is that IMHO he shouldn't have posted his personal info and you should just put him on Ignore already; as a matter of fact, you should have done so a long time ago. The only reason I can think of your continued debating (baiting?) with him is because you love annoying the crap out of him! That certainly has been the case in the past with Optional and Dgabriel and I....

Dude, please... It doesn't effect me at all. How could it? These are various arrangements of words that appear on a compter screen. Your inference that it has an "effect" is a wrong assumption.

But, good Lord, do I let it effect my personal life? Hell no. Am I "deranged?" Let me ask you, do you feel a twinge of guilt when you lambast msfe or his brethren?
