What Libertarians want is a Government who will apply the law equally have those laws consistent with the principles in the Constitution.
Libertarians fist and foremost believe in a strong Federal Government in protecting the people from outside danger.
They support control over the entry into our country of foreign nationals who pose a credible threat to security, health or property.

Liberals claim Libertarians want anarchy, no law...it is the opposite, they want law to favor no cronies and special groups.

If laws were fair to all people there would be no need for Lobbyists.

well, now you are getting to my favorite topic. If we eliminated the corporate tax, that by itself would eliminate most lobbyists.

As far as protecting the country, we could cut defense spending from now till the cows come home and still protect our borders.

I only joined this crazy thread because somebody was complaining republicans aren't tough enough on immigration, and I just pointed out that those of us that are libertarian advocate for open borders.

But then the resident judge and jury for the libertarian party put me through the inquisition. And it turned into a PC circus. I didn't know you had to sign a contract to be a member. I voted a straight libertarian ticket last time. That should be enough.

Many of my ideas are certainly not libertarian. Like most men, I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. But now the world is more than 50% female. And they vote. And most of them can't keep a man, or after a few years of marriage realize that he can't do anything right. So, they look to the government to do for them what they hoped a man would do. And you can expect more and more of that, until they have finally spent all the money.

Overconsumption, over fishing, uncontrolled logging have all decimated the country of its natural resources. India doesn't have a fraction of the timber, lakes, streams, farmlands or wildlife America has, but I suppose billions of Indians could be considered a resource.

India is a great example of where this country is headed if we don't let Big Gov step in and regulate the shit out of our industries.

We have far more than 3 and a half million strong in NY alone. Our country has 350 million or more.

Cmon man, I'm feeling your flow, but you gotta tighten up your stats.

You take every American and move them to India, and every Indian and move them to America, and in about 10 years, India would be ruling the world.

I'm interested in it. But again, the open borders philosophy of the Libertarian policy is not support of the current situation we're in right now - that's important to realize. Libertarians will support "open" borders, but not a free-for-all. Remove all the support illegals get while in the country. All of it. Once they know they'll get nothing, they'll stop coming. I've stated it very simply, but that's the overall idea behind it.
 
I don't know how any sane and rational person can hear an idiot like Gov. Brown say that he's happy with a 1/3 of school children are illegals, unable to speak English, and not just want to punch the guy in the face. I mean, WTF is happening to common sense? I want one leftist to explain to me how this works out well for us. How does this get paid for? How does this help unemployment and under employment among minorities and women? How does this help out already crippled healthcare system? How does this reduce crime?
I'll keep saying it. We just can't be this stupid and expect it all to work out well. Just ain't gonna' happen.
