Cowards!

Bottom line, short of a coup and a truly "good" near dictator, unaffected or corrupted by the absolute power. Leading this country and cleaning up all it's ills. I think we're past the point of no return and our fate is already sealed.

good rant until you hit lets get into the we are all doomed fantasy leftist ideal of what we need is someone to show us how its done and how to fix it -
has their been some weird bizzaro world turned on its head the last few days?

We need to find a way within the law, or change the law, to create a situation were work pays more than welfare and there is no incentive to produce retarded children as a means of cashing in.

Why not subsidize her the same way we subsidize farmers and pay her not to have children?

This is not a new idea of course, but it would, I think, be very hard to sell politically. There will be the same objections raised against the idea of farmers being paid not to plant, which is very unpopular accept among farmers. (That idea was sold at a time of a national crisis in farm prices. It seems it came in under Ezra Benson.) Would your idea be difficult to administer fairly? Probably. What criteria would you propose be used to decide who would get payments for not having children. . And then I suppose you'd reduce the payment some for each additional child born so that there would be a definite negative incentive to have more children. Political correctness makes these schemes difficult to pull off. People worry about harming the children, which is ironic when one considers the situation that many of these welfare children find themselves in as things stand now.. I'm not suggesting its a bad idea mind you, just pointing out the difficulties that have to be got around to implement something like this.. Certainly worth exploring.

There would of course have to be free and easy access to contraceptive devices and abortions. And if the child is born anyway, one could always implement Swift's suggestion.
