The numbers don't jive with the panic. Where are all the dead bodies? They, the government, are acting like we're tripping over dead people. 69 dead in 3 weeks. WTF is that? 3213 dead in China where this is several months into it, a country of 2 billion people living shoulder to shoulder, millions in squalor. 3200 dead is a pandemic? Even if they're lying and it's ten times that, so what, it's a statistical zero.
I don't know WTF is going on here, but it ain't some bullshit virus driving this. Unless the death toll rises big time. 1000+ per day, by months end I'm calling bullshit on this whole thing. They're pulling something else here and it ain't good.
You have to remember China took extremely drastic measures to contain and mitigate their spread. Over half of their population was in isolation for over a month, they built hospitals to treat the ill and implemented an effective testing system with a quick turnaround.
We don’t want the death toll to rise dramatically, that’s why states are implementing restrictions on social activities.
There’s zero doubt that without effective mitigation we would have an extremely high fatality rate in the high hundreds of thousands.
Hundreds of thousands is extremely high only in the context of comparing it to other viruses. It is not statistically high at all when look at as a percentage of the population. Let me ask you and others here. If you had a company that employed a thousand plus people and one person died from whatever, would you shut down your entire business for a month or more? This is what we're doing and it makes no sense. We will not recover quickly from the economic disaster which is unfolding and many, many more people will suffer longer and worse than they would from catching this virus, being really sick for a few days and having a near 100% chance of recovery. You have to remember China took extremely drastic measures to contain and mitigate their spread. Good for you, good for me too as I don't have to go anywhere, but the vast majority of working people do. We are self inflicting a financial crisis. 3 months from now 99.7% of those that get this will be very healthy, unemployed and going broke. If you wanted to intentionally destroy a country you'd be doing exactly what we're doing. I don't know if this is an external attack, an internal attack, an attack of abject stupidity, or a combo of all three, but we are defiantly under attack and this virus is just a Trojan Horse of sorts. So I built a company and then sold it but I’m still on the board (it’s a paper position for the lenders, I really don’t do anything) but, yes, everyone who can work from home is currently working from home and we ensured our network also expanded this capability to their staff (we partner with attorneys).
I suggest you sit back and show a little faith in what the doctors and scientists are telling all of us.
