Yeah I do understand it from the employer's point of view. But it's not a job I care for anymore. So from the employee point of view the intent is to do the least work possible. The employer can try to extract the maximum amount of work from the employee as they can bu the employee will always try to do as little work as they can. That has been my experience around the office.
About what Zed said just made me think about this. The reality is the whole things don't make sense. There were two girls a couple weeks back that brought their laptop to play video games while working yet they didn't get fired or the boss didn't ban laptops. Despite some complaints. One were from me. So it doesn't make sense why it would be ban when it's just me trading. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I think my co-workers don't like the fact that I could be making more money then them. Just a thought.

successful traders usually have an entitlement issue. If you're saying things like this it means you've haven't taste what a successful trading strategy can do yet.
Someone here on ET said something like:
"If you're are a profitable trader then why would you ever want to go back to a job?"
Heh.
Quote from Swan Noir:
You really are America's nightmare. You really think that as an employee it is your job to try to do as little work as you can and you actually believe everyone else views life that way. That is an amazing mindset to have ... a losing hand all the way around. In addition you rat out two co-workers for playing video games and then bitch when the boss is unhappy that you do pretty much the same thing as you ratted them for. You are one nasty, ignorant piece of work.
The icing on the cake is you are paranoid enough to think they resent that you are making a trading income. The reality is they don't know if you are profitable or not and probably don't care. I'm not sure why it is important to this conversation whether I am a successful trader or not but to answer an earlier question of yours I am a consistently profitable trader after a four year struggle yet I do not yet trade in the size I would have to to earn close to as much as I have earned in business. I have confidence that will come over time. To put it in a nutshell I am profitable and on the way to being successful.
WTF is this? Are you stalking me or something. just fyi. I took the advice of one of the member and wrote a letter to my state insurance commissioner and Geico ended up paying the full cash amount. There was no scam.Quote from newwurldmn:
