I think that's a deal breaker.
People (his own party and Canadians) got tired of him not supporting vaccines and mandates (the way he was supporting protestors)...
Most of Canada wants a leader that's supporting the tools to end the Pandemic and O'Toole just didn't listen to most in his party.
Yet, his problems heated up during the election and they lost the election by openly opposing how the government aggressively attacked the Pandemic from the beginning.
Regardless, it's the conservative party that's "very divided" and not Canada...the message the conservative party (the MPs) wanted the country to understand is that Erin O'Toole doesn't have the ability to lead his party nor have the ability to lead the country in a Pandemic.
I'm surprised he remained the conservative leader this long after the election loss. Yet, Erin O'Toole being voted out does send a message to other party leaders about what will happen if you're not openly supporting vaccines and mandates to end the Pandemic.
The MPs will be very careful in selecting their next conservative leader that will be more helpful in leading Canada out of a Pandemic and keeping the party together (not divided).

Other news...
1) The truckers and protestors are very lucky they did not do a Freedom Convoy in Vancouver, Montréal or Toronto. The people of those cities would have already confronted the Freedom Convoy and moved them out.
2) Ottawa Police have now identified the funding sources of the Freedom Convoy...most of it is coming from the United States (not surprising).
3) Canadian truckers now understand that most of the truckers and their CTA do not support the Freedom Convoy along with the fact that it was not having the impact on the consumers the way that they wanted...they've now decided to block the U.S./Canadian border crossing. Border crossing now down two one lane.
4) Ottawa Police are now seeing evidence of firearms and weapons being gathered at the Freedom Convoy.
Reminder: Videos out there circulating about how nice the Ottawa Police are to the Freedom Convoy and protestors...giving them food. I'm ex-military... it is called getting intel and keeping them calm.

Protest organizers of the Freedom Convoy plan to move next to Toronto most likely because they aren't accomplishing things (negotiations) the wanted by expressions their dislike of mandates to the Prime Minister.

Well...Toronto has stated they are not Ottawa and that they plan to stop the Freedom Convoy to stop it from staying to become an "occupation" as it is now in Ottawa.
More importantly, Toronto plans to protect its inner-core of the city from the Freedom Convoy because that's the location of their major key hospitals and critical business infrastructure.
Here in Québec...citizens are vowing to give them a good ass-kicking if a Freedom Convoy attempts to disrupt their key infrastructure (hospitals and major businesses) considering these two cities have more stringent laws (fire safety laws) about the number of trucks in the inner core city than Ottawa.
By the way, Canada's Conservative Party has a new "interim" women leader until the elections for a new leader.
Prime Minister Trudeau is questioning the Conservative Party MPs supporting stance for the Freedom Convoy in comparison to their hard stance against the Indigenous Canadians that were protesting and occupying cities in which the Conservative Party demanded that the Indigenous Canadians be arrested and jailed...
I knew that hypocrisy would come up about the Conservative party that is giving their support behind the Freedom Convoy.

The Base Rate Fallacy is a well-understood issue among those that understand the statistics of infectious disease. Those that do not understand are known ( like @Van_der_Voort_4 ) to try to manipulate the disease data.
Although explained again in laymen's terms:
The simpler, false analysis is what Raywat Deonandan, a University of Ottawa epidemiologist, called the “base-rate fallacy” in a recent blog post. It also underlines how the raw epidemiological facts of the pandemic have become a weapon of sorts in the vaccine wars.
- The unvaccinated are now a much smaller pool of people, a similar absolute number of them in hospital still means that a far higher percentage are getting seriously ill.
- And then there is the age factor. The risk of serious COVID disease is greater in older people, who are also more likely to be vaccinated.
In Ontario, for instance, unvaccinated people over 60 were 15 times more likely over the last 30 days to end up in the ICU with COVID than the fully vaccinated, according to Public Health Ontario figures...
Dr. David Jacobs, a radiologist at Toronto’s Humber River Regional Hospital, said most of the people at his centre who wind up on a breathing machine – a last-ditch treatment that can leave long-term side-effects even for patients who survive it – are unvaccinated.
The vaccinated are more likely to just need high-flow oxygen, a relatively non-invasive therapy that usually sees patients go home sooner, said Jacobs, who routinely scans COVID patients.

The above issue with the Base Rate Fallacy was the same issue in Israel and other countries with a high vaccination rate of their population. Yet, it's a common theme of just saying "more vaccinated are hospitalized than not vaccinated" that's used by anti-vaxxers/protesters since the early 1900s.
You can better understand this in the below charts that dives into the Ontario charts more easily into the data in comparison to the charts posted by @Van_der_Voort_4 about Covid Hospitalization in Ontario.
This is the reason why Public Health Agencies in countries around the world continue (accurately) state this has become a Pandemic for those Not Vaccinated because those fully vaccinated are less likely to be severely ill from Covid in comparison to those not vaccinated.
- Simply, if the fully vaccinated has a breakthrough Covid infection...the illness is less severe than those that are not vaccinated.
You don't need to understand that vaccines are working very well to prevent severe Covid illness and that this remains a Pandemic for those Not Vaccinated.
The above reasons are why governments, disability insurance companies, costs to have healthcare insurance, work employment, and many others have now begun transitioning without those not vaccinated or removing the not vaccinated because they are now becoming too costly...
Crazy sad in my opinion.
Another way to look at this...Truckers and Protesters in the Freedom Convoy are gladly using charts like those posted by @Van_der_Voort_4 but will ignore the charts posted by me that reveal the real-world truth about Covid Vaccines and the impact the not vaccinated are having on our healthcare system and economy in this Pandemic.

In some time in the future from another booster they will cause “over clock” of the immune system and PERMANENTLY damage to the sheeples’ immune system.
If vaccines were effective there would be less cases of the vaccinated sick again-simple logic.
