GM admitted that the Volt burns spontaneously due to unanticipated damage occuring during low-speed collisions in its vehicle testing program. Cars just went "poof" sitting overnight in the warehouse. Don't park that thing in your garage for God's sake. GM should supply smoke detectors with that thing.

If you suggest that someone buy a Volt and then it burns down their home are you liable? Just wondering.

They oughta call that thing the GM "Barbeque" and give away some bags of charcoal brickettes and some kosher weenies.

I'm not sure, I don't know much about diesels. My only experience is with trucks. People come in looking for diesels and I ask why. A lot of times they just say for the gas mileage. That really doesn't make sense to me because the diesel engine is $8000 more. Plus, diesel fuel is so much more expensive. Now if you want a diesel for towing, that's a different story.

As for cars, I'm not sure. It will depend on the cost of the engine and maintenance. Traditionally I thought that diesel engines required more maintenance. Electric cars are virtually maintenance free. Electricity is significantly cheaper than gas and can be supplied from several different sources. Diesel is still oil and as such using a different kind doesn't seem to be lessening our dependence on oil. It seems the future should definitely include natural gas. They are going to make the Cruze in a diesel, so I'm sure I'll know more then.

Volt's make up less than 10% of my sales. I have sold less than 20 of them. If it were to end tomorrow, it would hardly affect me.

I have never lied about the Volt's. You, however, are the one that lied and said people are not getting more than 25 miles to a charge.
