Canada is the No. 1 Country in the World, According to the 2021 Best Countries Report

You understand that your Canadian story is more of a church thing. Yes, the schools were state funded, but they were run by the church. Try to emphasize your grievance where it belongs. (Read the story you posted.)

Meanwhile, I suggest you shutter your glass house before speaking of untimely deaths.

So Canadians sent Native American (First Nations) children to church school. Let's merely blame the church and move on. Sorry, eh.

So you didn't even bother reading my post, let alone the article you posted. Consistent.

So who funded the church schools again?

Let's compare the number of bodies in this graveyard to the number of children killed by COVID in Canada. Sounds like the Canadian state-funded schools were more deadly to children than a pandemic.

Canada acknowledged its role and responsibility. The Church did not. Take your grievance up with the pope.

I've already posted in another thread that not only the same church but some of the same individuals were involved in setting up schools in the United States to "civilize" Indigenous in the United States with the approval / support of the U.S. government.

Indigenous Americans want the burial grounds associated with certain schools in the United States to be searched too because many Indigenous American children / women went missing during that time period too.

Simply, this story can easily be much bigger than what it is currently. :(

You sound like you’re advocating for critical race theory in Canada...

Never. I am making the point that Canadian have their only lengthy history of treating others oppressively. Maybe they should keep this in mind when continuously trying to point out faults in the U.S.

Shall we talk about all the gun violence in Toronto while we are at it...

Shooting at party in Toronto leaves 4 injured, including 3 children

Are you saying Canada is trying to catch up and sad they are in second place again. Sort of how Toronto always tries to compare itself to New York City and are sad when the realization hits they fall far short.

BTW -- how are all those strict gun control laws working out in Canada?

Really? You’re trying to criticize Canada as having a gun violence problem from America. How does this make sense to you?
