Quote from axeman:
"When Hitler was gaining power and promoting an agenda of racism and military dominance, Winston Churchill urged his country and others to take preemptive action and remove Hitler from power. Many argued that we should not mettle in Germanyâs affairs, that we should instead strive for peace. Hitler was allowed to continue his quest, and 50 million people ultimately died because of one manâs evil quest for power. Some argue that it could have been avoided with preemptive action. That is why Churchill called WWII the "unnecessary war," feeling it could have been prevented years earlier with far less bloodshed.
"Churchill once told Roosevelt that he thought WWII should be called, "The Unnecessary War." He also said, "There never was a war more easy to stop than that which has just wrecked what was left for the world from the previous struggle." That this lesson has now been learned is not assured. The world powers are still prone to short term fixes, leaving volatile situations unsolved and unstable, possible flash points that could once again explode into violence, pulling the world into yet another conflict. "
How soon we forget.
To those who think we should just pull out of everywhere
and not "mettle" in other peoples business, please
address this issue.
Will the next Hitler be an islamic fundy? Hmmmmmm.....
Im with 50 cent....this is basically a war of philosophies.
They hate everything about our way of life.
Should we leave them alone until they become super powers?
Think this will save more lives in the long run?
