Now @Tony Stark wont be voting for Joe Biden again, again!
I hope he does make it "crystal clear" it was the Republicans. If you incur debt, you pay it back.Biden will weigh in on the student loan forgiveness ruling on Friday, according to a source within the White House who said that while "we strongly disagree with the court, we prepared for this scenario."
"The President will make clear he’s not done fighting yet, and will announce new actions to protect student loan borrowers," the source said.
"We’ll also be making it crystal clear to borrowers and their families that Republicans are responsible for denying them the relief that President Biden has been fighting to get to them," the source added.
We’ll see. We are definitely in an emergency (albeit at the end).
I disagree.I agree with 2021 Nancy, the president cant do this.He gets and keeps credit for it though.
Biden's standing is way stronger on wiping debt than issuing memos on immigration. This SCOTUS will usurp power from the executive once lawsuit comes in however.
well...Now @Tony Stark wont be voting for Joe Biden again, again!
I may have posted before itt that they should've gone w/the Higher Ed Act for more solid footing but were opening themselves to con lawsuits but dems chose not to because that was their expectation (not really wanting to forgive the loans and add to the debt).

Yes, curious how the Heroes Act passes unanimously in congress and never sees a court challenge because "respect the troops" and will likely be found unconstitutional by hypocritical SCOTUS now. Wouldn't shock me if the assholes only find the "national emergency" clause unconstitutional, the precise clause that gives Biden the power.
Like I already said though, I doubt the admin fights it as they had to have their arm twisted to even jump on board.
Excellent pointI hope he does make it "crystal clear" it was the Republicans. If you incur debt, you pay it back.

How long has that been in effect though? Thru how many Administrations? The fact that student loans can't be included in a bankruptcy whereas all other debt can is a reflection of republican hypocrisy.
It might just hurt your ES 4800 thesis though. I think it will. It's definitely gonna affect consumer Q4 spending. Does some of the work for Powell.Excellent point
Plus that rule knows no party affiliation either. The fact that student loans can't be included in a bankruptcy whereas all other debt can is a reflection of republican hypocrisy.
