Another issue is that she enrolled in a for-profit school. Degrees from these for-profit scammy schools are effectively worthless. Most corporations refuse to recognize them as legitimate and don't hire people with degrees from these for-profit universities.

There's a larger problem of students borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars to attend low-rated schools, which often charge as much as better schools. Those degrees have little value as well, and it is easy to imagine graduates who borrowed end up having problems servicing the loans.
