She is 65 so probably plans to pay off the rest with her social security check.

Although you have to have worked for a while in your life to qualify and her experience in working might be "light." I think the current scam is to get social security disability payment for having long haul covid. New scam every other year.

For the Republicans wringing hands about forgiving student loan debt, wouldn't it be awkward if there was a public database where people could look up if you had large loans forgiven by the federal government?
