The best cure for ignorance and intolerance is an open and frank discussion. Fanatics of all stripes need to be given enough rope to hang themselves as they always do with their radical dogma that any rational person would dismiss if they heard it in its entirely. Banning and censoring just gives credibility to their whine of persecution. It sends them to the dark corners where they can get away with half truths that go unrebutted. It allows them to draw in the naive and unsophisticated. Shine a bright light on them I say and let them expose themselves for what they are. Their ignorant and frankly ridiculous points of view are enough completely self defeating, so I say let them speak as much as they want exposing the lies for what they are at every step.

Having said that why on earth would they post on a site about trading? Keeping them confined to the P&R sections seems like a good compromise.

As a point of interest, I took the time to read this Bruto fellows posts. His posts on Arabs and Palestinians are more bigoted and fascist in nature than any of Hitlers speeches.

here? this is not a porn site, so when you want to see

and for those all coming up with this zionist thing, the
reason why the holocaust is so prominent is not just
the jews but because it happened in one of the most
civilised western countries. and right now the region
where the remains of that crisis live is at center
of constant world wide attention. and it has been like
that for decades. the assumption that a people invents
something like the holocaust is so far fetched it is not
worth debating ... or, well at some places where real
honorable men do their thing.

it looks like it was proven all over again. in court. in documentaries,
in numerous autobiographies of victims, in hundreds of studies
and papers world wide. the point here is that if someone gets
into it by saying everybody is lying, every court, every victim,
every relative of a victim, every confessing nazi, every academic
who studied it, how can you "prove" it to them? if you "know" that
the world is running a conspiracy against you, no one can "prove"
the opposite, since each argument is seen as part of the conspiracy.

it was the jews who provoked hitler into starting deportation. it
was the jews who made the US enter WWII, it was the jews, the
jews, the jews. and then sit back and think about it all from a
distance. try to get material not from the other side, but completely
"unbiased", for example hitler's "mein kampf" or listen to his speeches,
or those of göbbels. and look at how the war went, and what
hitler said about "life space in the east", all these things, given
directly by them. and then go back to the two versions of history
and ask yourself what is more likely. that the nazis as the revisionists
have a distorted view on races, jews, arians, world order or if the
whole rest of the world is running a giant cover up.

you finally wrote a lucid, pithy and well-reasoned post. Keep it up!
 
do you know that one saying is that the undefeated german army
was held back from victory in WWI by the politicians at home. in
fact by the socialists. now think about it. just this little thing. how
plausible is this? the army that fought for 4 years stands strong
and is kept back from winning or at least getting a respectful
draw by a politican? and forced into a horrible peace treaty? how
unable to accept a defeat do you have to be to buy that?

truth IMHO is that germany had become a super power in late 19th
century, but lacked overseas influence. chancellor bismarck had
carefully selected his opponents and allies. he was always interested
in not getting caught in between the russians and the french. he
knew austria was weak. and he knew england was the main
german competitor overseas. the US were rising but no real force.
then the german emperor, seeing all the new power and handicapped
by a crippled arm while always running around in uniform to
compensate for this, threw away all political intelligence of bismarck.
and finally got rid of bismarck himself. now there were only the
super self confident german generals, successful in war and the
super productive and expanding german industry. here comes the
20th century. everybody was armed big time. german's hunger
for world wide influence growing and growing. everybody awaiting
the big open wrestling.

and all the rest is WWI textbook. german caught between strong
enemies aside of weak alliencies. going back and forth, a draw
after two years. at least it was clear germany could not win. stuck
all over the place. US entrance making the final difference. and
the german army was simply defeated. THIS is the real story and
it has to do with global politics and not too much with races ...
this came later on, with hitler and alike unable to live with the
defeat.
 
reread my last post. one thing is going to far. it looks a lot like
german guilt for everything. which is not ture. before WWI the
french very eagerly waiting for their 1870s defeat, the english
were very concerned about german expansion, especially their
ambition towards the sea. the russians were in between, they
had had a very good relationship with bismarck but where quite
concerned with him being away. but the russians had their story
with the austrians, who were a weak, almost always losingInBattle
giant, yet they were still around big time.

the whole thing is international politics. as it always was, as it
probably will be for quite some time.
