I believe this is my first post Arthur, I'm not sure if you should feel honored or insulted. As a "newbie" trader I'm grateful for all (you, NoDoji,et al.) who are willing to offer genuine advice and help to those with less knowledge and experience. I've been following posts and reading threads and have gained a lot from ET, but there seems to be a LOT of posters (perhaps failed traders) with anger issues!
Keep uo the good work as long as you're on the right side of the dirt!I have taken away 2 simple rules:
1) Never let the reader be fully sure whether you are completely serious or totally kidding (e.g. whether you are struggling to contain righteous fury or childish laughter). This way an outrageous claim can be taken as a joke and a bad joke may be understood as an aphorism.
2) You can't make a good joke without a risk of offending someone. (Some even find that the classic Humpty Dumpty rhyme is not politically correct enough to appear on TV: news story.)
For people who want to know what kind of joke can end one's career (news story) search google for "A Somalian arrives in London as a new immigrant to the UK" (in quotes).
Arthur Deco, I'm sorry to have hurt your feelings. I can attest that in this thread you have been exceptionally well-mannerd, if not amiable. If you decide to completely change personality, I will certainly miss your air of charming "flatulent windbag".
Ending a first marriage tends to kill them.
Ah, thanks for sharing those composition rules. I think I'll try to use them in future. But once again I see that my well-mannered amiable air has only caused this thread to veer from my newly eleemosynary approach to ET. I am old, but I CAN learn.

Hell, yes! I'm not 'spectin' much from the Sexpo, but I have never been to one, so why not? Forecasting freezin' rain here Tuesday, so went to the range tonight. Gotta love it when there is a CHL qualification going on. I especially love the five round free fires. God, what a racket that makes. The rest of us took a break to crowd around the porthole showing the bay they were in, all of us laughing like the gun monkeys we are.
