No need to put hands out window, lol. If you get pulled again, turn on the dome light if night, put hands on wheel at 11:00 and 1:00 o clock. No fast movements, and no worries. These guys knowingly took on the risk, and expect people to react in a million different ways. And even of you went fast for your wallet, you may look at a .45 at the extreme. I'd back up, draw, but keep pistol down parallel to my body. Wouldn't freak the driver out by staring down a pipe as they'd not see much of the weapon. Would give me another second to observe for a weapon, and observe whether or not that "weapon" was coming my way via their movement(s).
Will have to believe the SC Trooper's screwed. The tape, on it's face shows criminal negligence. The first two rounds, maybe (not for me, but for a jury, maybe), however, the next few rounds were so far over the top, it's egregious. He'll do time. And after the continued shooting, I'd have to say he needs to. He's damned lucky he didn't kill the guy either. Couldn't imagine trying to live with myself after something that bad.
Last, the pressure. If I were to step in a patrol car at this point being gone from that mess so long, I'm sure I'd have some sort of attack from sheer fear. Lol, I guess. Couldn't imagine doing that job now.
