Another White Cop shoots an unarmed Black Man

or we could teach kids you are an American Citizen and you have rights guaranteed in the constitution, and if a cop pulls you over get out of the car, pull your pants down, shoot him the moon and say, "Hey Pig, kiss my ass." You'll probably get a ticket for a turn signal out instead of just a warning ticket, but at least both you and he will know you are free.

Proper conduct indeed. What's next? Do you want to teach kids how to be polite when the FBI comes in your house to search without a warrant?

Maybe we should have a class in school teaching children how to act politely when the NSA taps their iPhone.
It's about not making a bad situation worse. It's already bad enough that you're being stopped by the cops, but don't act a fool and make the situation heated. You can politely and even rationally refuse to comply with a cop without it coming to the craziness. But when you're confrontational, you're not doing yourself any favors.

Here's what will solve 99% of all these cop/citizen controversies: COP BODYCAMS.

They have a very positive effect on folks.
Cops don't like bodycams. They won't be able to hit on the high school girls anymore if they are being monitored.

Thisis actually a perfect example of an overzealous shit for brains cop, why is it that people like sharpton and jesse jackson dont attach themselves to cases like this, where the cop is actually guilty, as opposed creating riots over nothing where they repeatedly prove that they are racist jackasses who only care about sowing the seeds of racial animosity.

At least they charged the 31-year-old former trooper with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, a felony that carries up to 20 years in prison. I think they should charge him with attempted murder.

my father told me, if you ever get stopped by the cops, always call them "Sir". And that saved my ass many times. And that is exactly what this shooting victim called the cop

You don't have to call them 'Sir', but you certainly don't physically resist them or try to fight them.

No excuses for the PIGS. This is what happens when you militarize a police force and train them to believe that every citizen is the enemy. These bastards just can't wait to pull the gun.
Play it loud when you pass the PIG station. Fuck these bastards

The driver made a quick move back inside the car. To the officer it looked like the driver was rushing to get something he shouldn't get.
It was a wrong read by the officer. And the officer should have taken cover, until he knew what the driver was going to come out with, instead of shooting.

Had the driver told the officer that his license was in the car the officer would have moved to where he could observe the man. In the video the man turned his back to the officer and the officer could not see what was going on.

Some here want to claim we are free to move as we wish. In this situation working with the officer will not make you less free.

The officer only cares about your hands and where they are going. In fact they say one of the best ways to talk your way out of a ticket is to calm the officer down by showing your hands and keeping them where they can be seen.
No one wants a nervous officer with a gun.

When I have been stopped in the past, knowing that I look like a latino thug. I always and I mean always put my hands up outside my window in plain view of the cop period. Should i have to do that no, but I understand the insane pressure these cops are under and dont want anything like this to happen to me. When you have 1 or 2 seconds to react under pressure of maybe being a victim yourself you shoot first and ask questions later...Sorry , but I gaurantee this cop gets off.No way no how a jury convitcts this cop.

I also do that, and I am white. I have a black friend who is an executive and has at least ten times more legal money than I do and he does the same thing. As a matter of fact he was the one who told me, "If you ever get stopped keep your hands exposed at all times." Not much different than my fathers advice, "Always call the cop "Sir."

I also know a cop who almost shot a man for dropping a potato. It was a drug bust in a very bad part of town. He entered the residence and told the man, "Get down!" The only thing in the house was the man, a microwave and a mattress. The man had just taken a baked potato out of the microwave, and when the cop came in it startled him so much he dropped the potato. And instead of getting down like the cop told him, tried to catch the potato. Turns out it was the wrong house, the guy had no drugs, but the cop told me if he had shot the man it would have been justified because the man had made something they call a "furtive move." The cop asked him, "Why did you do that?" The man replied, "I don't know, it just came naturally."

This is very good advice. Keep your hands in plain view, either out the window or on the top of the steering wheel. Before you move them, tell the cop exactly what you are going to do and aks if it is ok.

Of course, it is very unfair, demeaning, etc, but at the end of the day, you are doing yourself a big favor.

What is needed is mandatory instructions of how to act when the police pull you over. This should be taught in all schools and especially to persons who have been arrested.
Simple rules like asking for permission to make a move back into a vehicle. Making sure the Officer always knows what you are planning to do, where you are going to move your hands ...etc.

Ferguson is a good example. They claim Brown had his hands ups, but maybe the Officer was telling him to get on the ground. Brown with his hands up may have been more of a threat in the Officers mind, because he could have easily attacked the officer.
You see this point in the Rodney King video. They keep telling him to go to the ground, he never does on his own. From there he is considered non-cooperative and is taken down.

I disagree. It's the police that need the training and training 101 is get your god damn hand off the gun. Pulling the gun is their last option, not the first, and I don't want to hear any of the bullshit about they only have a second to determine what a person is going to do. That's the job, and if their very first instinct, if they go out on patrol thinking everyone is a violent criminal, then they aren't of the right physiological make up to be a cop.
This is the result of militarizing the police force and training them to believe every citizen is the enemy. I don't need the re-education camp as to how I should act. THEY need the re-education. If I'm standing outside of my car and the cop says he wants my registration, just where the fuck does he think my registration is? It's in the god damn car, so naturally I'm going to lean back in the car just as this victim did. The fact that this idiot cop sees that as an aggressive action tells me he has exactly the wrong attitude about his job. Another pig just can't wait to shoot someone.
His actions are what makes it more difficult for police who actually have a just cause to pull their weapon, and feeds the wild herd just what they need as in Ferguson. Far as I'm concerned it's guys like him that are the problem. Throw his sorry ass in Gen Pop and let bubba have his way.

This should be labeled on every car dashboard.
In some neighborhoods the idea of respect to too subjective. Many crimes are committed out of somebody deciding on their own they they have been disrespected. Its a real problem.
This carries over to a police stop. The drivers concludes on his own that to follow the instructions of an officer gives is too demeaning and not giving proper respect. So they whine or snap back.
