Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

SouthAmerica: As I have been saying for a long time on this thread - Al Goreâs moves for the presidential run of 2008 continues right on schedule one step at the time.
Tomorrow Larry King will interview on his show âAl Goreâ regarding his latest book âThe Assalt on Reasonâ by Al Gore. You can read about the book at:

The latest issue of Time magazine the cover story is about Al Gore. They called the article âThe Last Temptation of Al Goreâ and you can read it at:

After his book tour Al Gore will continue getting a lot of attention from the mainstream media as follows:
1) When the new Katrinas reach the US shores during this coming hurricane season.
2) When Al Gore wins the Nobel Peace Prize in October 2007.
3) When he announces and makes official that he is jumping into the presidential race for 2008.
By the end of February 2008 Al Gore will be the official candidate of the Democratic Party for November 2008.
Basically, the debate of the Democratic Party for now on should be about who should be in the ticket with Al Gore as the VP in 2008.
Here are 3 killer issues Al Gore should avoid like the plague during his campaign for president in 2008:
1) Gun Control
2) Gun Control
3) Gun Control

The "Time magazine" article covers a lot of material that we have been covering here on this thread since August of last year.
I heard people say and also read on some articles that Al Gore still shocked because of his loss in 2000. And that he would not be able to handle losing for a second time.
This argument is pure Bullshit.
Someone told me that in American history when you lose a presidential election that person would never have the chance to win a presidential election on the future. Then I reminded my friend that Richard Nixon lost the election to John Kennedy and later he was elected president of the United States.
If Al Gore really wants to become president of the United States in January 2009 â in my opinion, the presidency is his for the taking â and all he needs to do is run for president in November 2008.
It takes time for the American mainstream media to grasp many things that are so obvious to me or that requires a little thinking, but that itâs the way the mainstream media works today here in the United States.

Tonight on ABC's Nightline show, they had Al Gore as a guest.
He was asked if he was going to run. He didn't say yes, but he
also didn't say no. He said others have asked him to run and he
appreciates that. But as of now, he has no plans to run.
But he did leave the door open, even if it was only a little bit.
As far as what you said above about the mainstream media in America...
I don't think they want to waste too much time with Al if he isn't going to run.
Maybe Al is just waiting to get his Nobel Peace prize and sell his
book before he says he is not running. You know, trying to keep
the mystique up is not a bad thing when you are up for a Nobel
and have a book to sell.
Also, maybe Al is still trying to figure out if he really wants to run again.

did after losing to George W when he ran for Prez last time.

SouthAmerica: In the election of 2000 Al Gore actually won the popular vote - he lost on the other system - a system designed for the world of 1776.
Richard Nixon did prove to the American people that you can lose an election and still make a come back and win in the future.
Al Gore should keep Richard Nixon election in 1968 as the goal to be achieved.
Today Al Gore has all the advantages that Richard Nixon had in 1968 when the United States had a very unpopular war going on in Vietnam.
This time around it is not Vietnam - it's the entire Middle East and with gas prices going up up and away Al Gore can be the candidate to break the United States dependence on petroleum from foreign countries including the Middle East. Gas prices is on the mind of most voters here in the United States.
I know that the American Petroleum companies are going to play the same old game once again when gas prices reached $ 3.25 per gallon for the cheapest gas during the summer of 2006, then the prices declined to the lowest point of $ 2.00 per gallon in November 2006 on election day - and the following day after the election the petroleum companies restarted their game on the way up and once again they are taking the American people for a ride and gas prices have reached new high.
The Republican Party is afraid of Al Gore and they hope that he does not run for president, because the Republican Party don't have any candidate that could have a chance of beating Al Gore in November 2008.
