Abortion Rights Score Huge Victory In Kansas

A half-century ago, science and legal precedent led the Supreme Court to make fetal viability the standard in abortion law

Has the science or morality changed?

Roe addressed that, giving the power to states to regulate more and more as the pregnecy progressed.

If only you people were as passionate about the millions of kids already here in need as you do about a fetus.

They don’t talk about other organs for some reason.
Because they don't think holistically.

An argument could be made that the cluster of cells is not a person, a human being, until it reaches some point of development that truly sets it apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. To me, a reasonable point would be when mortality salience begins, especially the terror, a consciousness that all other animals appear to lack. This is typically around 4 or 5 years old.
;)

There’s a place for the viability argument, in my opinion, and medical ethics. The real question is do we take the de minimus viability as the standard as if all fetuses will grow outside of the womb at x weeks. If that were the case the women could just birth babies at 8 weeks.

The heartbeat argument is foolish too. A liver and kidneys is just as vital as heart. They don’t talk about other organs for some reason.
Yes , you show the complexity of the issue....a lawmaker needs to make law by drawing he line.
Can a woman abort at anytime or does the fetus deserve life after viability, or the certitude of viability.
A conclusion needs to be made then crafted into law
