A peek inside the Health Care Bill

Quote from Index piker:

No, I don't vote my personal self interests or ask senators/reps to do so either.

My problem is it's an unconstitutional power grab that's anti- free choice and anti free market besides it will be a huge albatross on the neck of the taxpayer increasing cost and decreasing service.

The only people that this bill would affect negatively are ones that make over $1 million per year that file joint ($500,000 for single), since they will have to pay an extra 5.4% in taxes. Boohoo for them.

You keep stating that this BILL is 'unconstitutional'. I think you had better read up on the meaning of what is and is not 'constitutional'. The health care bill does not change the Constitution is any way shape or form. It is a law, not a Constitutional admendment.

As far as the other things go: it isn't free-market now and you will have the same 'free-choice' as you do now.

While I'm not pretending to be a Constitutional scholar.

It's Too funny that you are arrogant enough (stupid to boot)to tell me I'm wrong when it's you that have it completely backwards (typical lib thinking).

You are correct that the bill does not change the constitution as it is not a constitutional amendment.

It is precisely this reason that it (the bill) is unconstitutional. Laws can be found unconstitutional.

Constitutional amendments if ratified in the prescribed manner cannot by definition be Unconstitutional.

However they can be an affront to every clear thinking individual in the nation and that my friend is exactly what this bill demands in order to not be found unconstitutional.

No matter how stupid it is some people believe exactly what they are told.

My advice is stay away from late night infomercials and grifters because you are a mark waiting to be fleeced.

Quote from Vinny1:

If we add all of them, premiums can come down, since everyone will be paying into the system. Who wouldn't want lower premiums. With everyone covered, maybe wait times will increase by 20% to see a doctor, since 20% more people are now covered. No big deal.

In theory premiums go down for now, but that assumes medical cost stay the same. What is being done to stop the out of control cost of medical procedures?

Rationing or dilution of service quality.

For a dose of real govt efficiency I suspect both simultaneously.

Since when does anything the government runs result in decreased costs, better service, and greater efficiency ? Often it turns out that programs cost double or triple what they 'predict'.

Interview of congressman Dr. Ron Paul (M.D.) on Obamacare - including costs issues, loss of privacy, and the use of force (the interview is # 133 at the bottom of the page. You can click on the arrow and hear it, or download it to save for later) :

What are you talking about? That is what I read about the tax increase. I didn't make it up.

Quote from Vinny1:

I stand behind Obama 100%, as do most Americans. That is why he is the President of the greatest country in the world. He is going to make this country even better for all once this bill passes.

you are joking right.....???

a poll on facebook has 73,000 respondents 23% of which support Obama....that about matches up with my real life perceptions...actually I dont personally know anyone who supports obama.

stop drinking during the day vinny.
