I don't think every state offers a high risk plan, and if they do, it costs alot more. You'll go broke paying for the premiums; at least then, you can get Medicaid.

What about insurance companies dropping your coverage when you get sick? I suggest you watch Sicko and Frontline's Sick Around America if you haven't seen them.
With a public option and co-ops available, and insurance companies selling across state lines, we'll just have to wait and see what the monthly premiums end up costing.

Your initial statement was that there are no programs which isn't that case at all. I am sure that other states have some programs dedicated to this problem. If not your state that you reside in than move to state that offers what your looking for.
Government health care is a complete train wreck waiting to happen and once it happens we will never be able to get rid of it.

Don't be paranoid. It will all work out fine. One day, all of the doubters will say Obama and Pelosi were right, except the people that make over $1 million per year ($500,000 for single), since they will have to pay an extra 5.4% in taxes. I guess you can't please everyone.
