Yes, I think he certainly is all over the place on immigration and a bunch of other issues. Hence the question mark next to his name. He's not my first choice, but I think he is one candidate who could get young people thinking about voting republican. He's not part of the whole Bush-Dole-McCain-Romney cast of depressing old guys tied to the past and still reliving the Cold War and thinking smoking pot will make you crazy.

My main issue is I don't want christie and I don't want another Bush or Bush surrogate, eg Rubio.

Republicans can win a Senate majority, take back the presidency, repeal Obamacare, build the Keystone pipeline, slash oppressive government regulations, end special tax deals and government contracts for the Democrats' big donors, restore an honest IRS and nominate serious people to the federal bench.
But they'll never do any of those things if they can't learn that mass immigration from the Third World is wildly unpopular with voters.

ha,ha,ha. Keystone pipeline aint nothing but another oppressive government regulation, infringing on what was a formally free individual farmer or rancher, and claiming they have more right to his land than he does.
 
Hate to say it, but if Cruz runs, he is fucked. The media would spend the whole campaign on how he is canadian and birthers didnt accept obama. I like Cruz, he is the smartest guy of the bunch, but he has no chance, unless he waits for 10-20 years. If cruz won the entire thing would turn into a debate over whether or not he can legitimately run. They would then hammer him over the things they were wholly unwilling to question obama.

I agree, we live in the age of soundbites, and if you cant micromanage every single word you say, then you are toast. The other day Carson got crucified for simply saying he doesnt want to judge ray rice, and he prays for him. The liberal media had a field day with this, calling carson a person who accepts spousal abuse.

Carson is a real person, and there is no time for that in soundbite politics..... If Carson was to run he would end up losing in a landslide, all because he would be manipulated into a monster by the media.

Politics is a profession. How would he react if I showed up at the Johns Hopkins door and said, I'm interested in medicine and watched every Dr. House episode. Now I'd like to see some patients and maybe perform some operations.

Intelligent, informed people can have valid opinions on issues. Being president involves a lot more than that, as obama has shown. It involves judgment, leadership and the ability to deal with a group of prima donnas in congress and a federal bureaucracy that is extremely hostile to conservatives. We have no idea how Carson would handle any of those challenges.

By entering the primaries, he only muddies the waters and splits the conservative vote. We saw John McCain get the nomination in 2004 when the conservative vote was split.
