Russians, after all Western vehicle imports were stopped and the Russian car factories stopped production because of lack of imported parts, were hoping to get cars from China. That hope is slowly disappearing. Today, Chinese car manufacturer Lifan said it stopped selling in Russia.

They already are doing that - the Bucha atrocities were apparently in "retaliation" for Ukrainian army attacks that killed some Russian soldiers in the area. That did not deter the anti-Nazi partisans during WWII, it will not deter Ukrainian partisans killing Russian soldiers.
