    0846 EST I'm looking to buy either 116 190 or 116 130 on a simple S/R retracement play.

0549 EST Pre-market 31 July 2009 So far no trades from my single daily posts, i.e. first time buy or sell. If I have time, I can post how you might have attacked yesterday only knowing the 4 levels, i.e. the two from yesterday and the two from the day before. In a nutshell, after the...

0658 EST Pre-market 30 July 2009 Yesterday had no trades on my posted levels per the caveats repeatedly stated in the journal, in this case market moving news at 1300 hrs. On a side note, the buy would have worked on a re-entry, but that is a whole separate journal. Today, I would look...

0100 hrs EST Pre-Market post for Wed 29 Jul 2009 I have two important levels that will probably be important for a few days: 116 210 and 115 310 Between the two, I would prefer to sell a first time approach only of 116 210. The less confident trade is to buy for a first time...

sharp10 will be posting his thoughts on occasion here as well. As I mentioned, my contributions might be sporadic. I will try to do a single post pre-market with levels and times. The caveat is that I may not be able to manage the trade, so use your own judgment to enter and exit.

Per the previously mentioned issues coming up at work, I will be in and out this week. Hard to say if I can post. Here is a nice tidbit to file away. From reading my journal(s), everyone knows my favorite technique of waiting for the retracement immediately after a bad report for bonds...

Another solid link: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/markets/bonds.html Not sure how quickly they post the news. Finally, the huge amount of supply coming in was pretty much common knowledge since last week.

Some big news coming this week at work for me, so I may have other things on my mind. Bloomberg radio generally does a good job. The only thing I look at news related is simply the schedule of events for each day which can be found here...

1012 EST OK, suffice it to say everything is negative. Today has been a no trade day for me and my analysis has been off. My wife is asking about watching a movie so I'm taking a break. I have family plans for Friday so see you on Monday.

0953 EST Fortunately, no trades so far this morning. I am kicking myself for the obvious missed short trades all morning long but then again, they really aren't missed as my plan was to wait for the prices posted. Need to see what 1000 EST brings prior to making any trades. The...

0945 EST Cancelling order. Hourly WGSR is now negative, albeit within the context of Tuesday we are still positive AND the 1000 report is coming out AND the weakness leads me to believe I may be wrong in my bias.

0941 EST If 117 020 gets filled, I will look to exit quickly. Reports can be dangerous. Obviously, anywhere near 0950 and the order is cancelled. It isn't worth the risk.

0924 EST Unfortunately, the market has been somewhat lethargic. The ideal setup was a move to 117 200 followed by a return to 117 130 for a first buy. Now we have a 1000 EST Housing report approaching and it would be wise to be cautious. At this point, here are two scenarios, keeping...

    Bond Trader 2009

That would have been a nice trade. I saw it but thought we would have a move through that price to the 117 240 area, hence no short so far. 0917 EST I'm going to go out on a limb and say a buy between 117 090 and 117 150 will be considered a solid move today. As always use your own...

0903 EST I'm going to step away for awhile. I have an order setup with NinjaTrader to buy at previously posted levels. Smaller size, tight stop with first one.

0859 EST The reason we keep on bouncing back up after dips to 117 090 is that 117 090 is POC according to MP. Very important number. Let's watch it carefully. Still biased long and simply waiting for my published levels.

0839 EST I'm still leaning towards long. Even though we haven't broken to the upside decisively. My best guess is that we will make a run for 117 240 - 117 260. This can change on a dime with a report.

The 30 year was my favorite and I have traded it since 1994. Roughly just before the start of this terrible financial crisis, i.e. February 2007 or so, I started trading the 10 year exclusively. Reasons: Volume 1/2 tick (this doesn't matter anymore) Seems to follow S/R better I can...
