Sure, that's usually the case when you're dealing with old codgers... but almost everyone GenX or younger is free from such detrimental biases. The good news is that the older, racist business people are retiring/dying out, so every year you can expect to face a little less irrational discrimination than the year before.

I'd also like to add that while certain motivated individuals have no personal need for a college education, modern society certainly does need well educated people! Physicians, engineers, scientists, geologists, etc...
How would you get an emergency appendix removal in a society where no one went to college? Some turd world societies fit that description, and relying on the surgical skills of the local witch-doctor usually isn't going to cut it.
One more thing: Making millions of dollars for yourself is cool, but successfully coming up with the cure for a major disease would be one hell of a lot cooler! Sometimes I wonder if I could have <b><i>really</b></i> made something of myself, had I been given the opportunity of a real education at the right age.
