But if you set a profit target of 2 points and stop loss of 4, I think that it will stay out of the chop areas....When my indicator crossed, there were some big moves. It is not perfect, but it seems to give some good indications.....

I like the criticism. can you please be more specific so that I keep on researching. I am thinking of employing this into my self-developed automated system, so I better learn the disadvantages before I put it in.....

Where do you see the biggest difficulties of this indicator.

thanks

Hello all:

Please find attached a result of my statistical studies on ES. Results are interesting. The green line is the indicator developed by me and the blue line is the ES price series.

Visually, I can quickly take the trades based on the crossovers. If it crosses from below, I go SHORT. If it crosses from above, I go LONG.

I could NOT find a technical indicator that matches my indicator calculations. Very interesting result indeed.

Comments please.

Hey porgie, you may want to hint some more about your other reversal??????

Monarc;
Let see that home indicator on a 50 day intraday hourly chart;
& along side a 50 day moving average. ES & YM

Initial impression , your green line crosses [blue price],
like a moving average, similiarity ends there.:cool:

Looks like a ma crossover chart on a short time frame. What time frame is it on ?

Volente:

OH NO. This has got nothing to do with moving averages. I didnt spend a week to just come up with a MA crossover system. This is a mathematical formula which I developed . Coming from a control systems/signal processing background, a lot of things went into this.

What are the striking things that come to your mind when you look at the charts. Criticism is more than welcome.

Home run trade closed today:

long at 11180
closed at 11280

profit 100 points

would be looking to go long again today in the evening.

Biggest difficulties?
Looks like a typical dreamware-run-of-the-mill indicator for losers.
By your own guess: "But if you set a profit target of 2 points and stop loss of 4, I think that it will stay out of the chop areas...". That's quite some 'thinking' coming from a 'control engineer'.

Go back to your drawingboard, use 50+ days of data like suggested, build in a rigorous trading strategy and post your backtested figures.

nononsense:

I am NOT using this indicator as yet. It is still in the development mode. read the posts before you speak out. Visual inspection has confirmed that it has atleast some potential. I am in the process of testing it mechanically subjecting it to three years of data. I will definitely post the results as I did before on this thread.

Check my previous posts. Oh by the way, I am NO run of the mill loser...

I did.
As per your request, I simply tried to help with the "Biggest Difficulties".
