Thanks Manz,
Do you think I could benefit by posting the static way I trade these levels (no confirmation just MIT with reverse or BE) alongside the "YM in a can" to see which one works best and to discover why?
Michael B.
P.S. This is a work in progress, and there will be tweaks but we can compare equations using like entry and exit methods without discretionary choices for now.

Referring to your "no confirmation just MIT with reverse or BE", what is BE? Breakeven or Breakout???
Breakout sorry. I meant BO
Also, did you mention anywhere what is your formula for the pivots?
the spreadsheet in the beginning has the formula's
May I also know how long you have been trading?
27 years and a short lived CTA for 1 year (I hated being a glorified telemarketer)
because you said that you do not even have a charting service.
I used to trade fulltime and have used Investor R/T and Esignal, but why would I need charts to trade this?
And what makes you want to go live with assisted trading this YM in the can?
I do not have the time to trade it, so I need assisted trading or auto-trading with someone monitoring it.
Have you not come across other equally profitable methods that interest you before?
Yes I am trading options and equities. But I would like to trade the YM. The other methods that I have come across that are equally profitable require too much of my time. If you have some time read this journal and there is some background about me
Michael B.
I am just trying to understand your intention better.
Glad to share what I know. I want to discover new ideas and grow in trading. It is hard to stay current when you are working a full time job and love to trade. I make a good living as a junior partner in a legal assistance service and made the change about 1 yr ago from my CTA endeavor to working as a commercial bill collector there(I will take over the business when the owner retires). Before that I traded Futures retail full-time for 3 years and made a little. And before that I was a day trader in equities. And before that I was an investor. I am 45 years old and my first account was with Merrill Lynch. It was called sharebuilder and I was 18 years old. I think my parents had to sign for me ...can't really remember. I am expecting a commission check for $6,500.00 dollars next month and I would like to find a place for it. I thought the YM would be the logical place for it as it has a $2500.00 performance bond requirement for overnight holds.
Thanks.

Michael,
Maybe you should leave it as it is because you don't want to optimise too much. Did you mention anywhere why you only enter limit at H3 and L3. What about H2,H1,L2,L1? And what is the total profit to date since starting this thread? How about any backtested results prior to this thread? Has the results held up?
Thanks

. I am a discretionary trader and use other filters to enter trade, . The exact way I trade, I am not going to reveal that, but I use only reverse/ bo, and use other points as buffer not to trade.Quote from ElectricSavant:
Mr. Loosen up this is not optimizing? This is a Money Management example. Get your terms straight.
Michael B.
P.S. A system without Money Managment is doomed to fail.
P.S.S. If you have as low as a 20% winrate you can still be profitable with good money mangement (not trade management).
