Yet Another One

Does that make george stephanopoulos the last man standing on the morning talk shows?

He has to be sweating bullets lol

They fired Lauer pretty quick, I guess they got tired of paying for the helicopter.

There is reporting that says that the noose was beginning to tighten around him in the sense that a couple newspapers have investigative stories pretty much ready to go revealing some of his stuff. So NBC allegedly is trying to give the appearance of being proactive, when in fact it is coming out one way or the other.

The later stories floating around today assert that the investigation of Lauer was going on for quite a while. Initially he denied everything, but more victims kept popping up. Eventually it sounds like he was done in by inside the office complex video cameras plus video from other reporting locations (public area in hotels, etc.) which confirmed some assertions he denied. In the end one of his victims with lawyer in tow demanded a meeting at the NBC network regarding his behavior (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/11/29/nbc-announces-today-show-co-host-matt-lauer-fired-due-to-inappropriate-sexual-behavior-at-work.html ) during the 2014 Sochi Olympics. This was enough to finally force the network to take action.

The payout on this for the victims is expected to easily surpass what FOX paid out.

However I am still waiting for more info to come out about this. Apparently a couple of media outlets were putting together stories on this.... and they fired him before they came out.

Do you guys remember when it was revealed that Representative Henry Hyde had had an extramarital affair with a married women some thirty years previously? This probably would never have come to light had Hyde not been leading the House Impeachment Hearings over Bill Clinton having perjured himself in regard to his affair, in the White House!, with Monica Lewinski. Hyde laid the incident off to "youthful indiscretions". At that point it became clear that the impeachment trial was going to be a time and money wasting political circus, as it indeed turned out to be.

Apparently it had been going on for some time, NBC knew about it. But we live today in a different world than we did just a few months ago. Everything's coming out on everyone and it's politically expedient atm to take out the trash.
