Yet Another One

Leftists walking the sexual allegations plank one after the other. I guess the whole allegations are fact strategy has kind of backfired on them.

No it did not. It is annoying to have to listen to crowing but while the extreme left like the extreme right is packed with utter morons, the moderates (and moderate right who you do not speak for) are fine with this coming out. It is as it needs to be.

No sane person believes that taking allegation as fact is a good policy to set. You don't think this can and will be abused? Someone is pissed at their boss or a co-worker and decides to make a claim. If something alleged can destroy a career or personal life, that allegation needs to be fact checked first. If a guy admits to it, then that's different, and I don't know whether or not Lauer admitted to the allegations, but if there is a denial then that person is presumed innocent, period. I don't want to see anyone, left, right or center to be taken down without some kind of due process. We also need to figure out where the line is. Right now a crude remark or gesture is given the same weight as an actual assault. A very dangerous precedent has been set.

All the Liberals will shortly do WhatAboutisms saying "Look at FOX"

Well the number and scale of allegations involving sexually inappropriate behavior of liberal talking heads now greatly exceeds anything that happened at FOX.

Haha. Have you ever considered “liberals” don’t look at television news the same as you guys? Why would anyone consider Matt Lauer a “liberal talking head”?

Have you ever considered - and hear me out - that you just don’t like the accurate reflection of your own politics?

Just saying.

As Dr. Frankenstein learned to his chagrin, there is a risk in creating an uncontrollable monster. It can turn on you. I watch as little leftwing TV as possible, but Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose would have been the last two guys I expected to be canned for crude sexual behavior. It's a good lesson about confusing private character with a media image.

What we need to see is an atmosphere where women feel much more comfortable coming forward in a timely fashion. Credibility comes into question as time passes. This is the challenge and made considerably more difficult by the fact that it has been women themselves doing the victim blaming in the past. The tone was set during the nineties as the left circled the wagons to defend then President Clinton. At that time it was none other than Hillary Clinton and other hardcore feminists who were waging the war on women who were victims of sexual assault and misconduct. Hillary tried to shame and discredit the victims. Feminists just told them to take one for the team if their assailant voted the right way. The media turned a blind eye and deaf ear to it all. At best they made excuses where excuses were necessary to defend the chosen few. The message sent by this was clear. Once again, we are now dealing with the results of leftist ideology.

While I agree with some points above it is interesting to see the mindset of events like these being counters of equal merit.

It explains the justice system where a guy gets life for a third minor strike like forgetting to pay for a pair of tube socks and another gets life for kidnapping.

Republican voters have a clicker and Democrats have a range of guilt. But if you overload the Republicans like Trump, they just make one click.
