the more i think about it the more i think that such
a trial would really be devastating. and i would
think that no one really dared to go forward with
it. just think about it. a new president ratifies the
court, the current administration gets charged by
allowing torture and the former president of the
united states gets sentenced. i mean, just the
sentence. for what can you sentence a former
US president? a hundred thousand bucks? a month
in jail?

so actually, even if they ratified i seriously think
no one would really go forward with this. at least
i could imagine. though in five years, when he
will have been away a while, back in the bars ...
(sober for sure!) ...

Before you lecture us poor dumb yokels any more, you should read up on American politics. Clinton was impeached for lying to a federal court in a lawsuit in which he was the defendant. That is called obstruction of justice, and he, his wife and half his administration should have gone to jail. There were numerous other grounds for impeachment covering corruption, abuse of power, misuse of confidential FBI records, etc.
