Women and life balance

When you have taught a hundred people on how to trade and they all failed at it. To be honest you have to wonder is the failure on the students or is it the teacher (or the method). Hehe

No it's just trading is hard. Only 5% of traders succeed supposedly. That means 95% of the students would fail.

One of my favorite trading videos:

Hey everyone I need some life advice from experienced traders who have most likely gone through what I am going through.

I am currently going through a phase where all I care about is trading, I don't go out anymore, I am putting my great job (financial advisor at a big 5 bank In canada) at risk by putting paper work and boring client stuff aside to trade my personal account during market hours. I am a young guy 23, 6'2 and have no problem getting laid (my trick is just ask questions and when asked a question I always answer with a question, girls love talking...a little trick that works for me) however I am tired of these weekend affairs but I know that I will not be able to hold down a serious relationship as I would show no interest in a girl right now.

I am spending my days trading and my nights doing math and back testing while absorbing as much finance info as I can at the expense of family and friends.

Anyway I saw my friends for the first time in 2 months and I had to take a look at my life. I am very passionate about trading and I am sure some of you have gone through what I am going through. The ones that have wives and kids, how do you hold that down? Any advice would be insightful as if I do not fix this problem I will end up being a successful trader with no friends or family and that is something I know will bite me in the ass in the long run. I know there are no bunk beds in the graveyard and to make it in this world you have to sacrifice but maybe there are alternatives.....please try not to troll as this is a very serious topic for me and it feels like I am not myself anymore. Thanks.

You're 23 man, have plenty of time to settle down. At your age you must only be starting your working career, not sure what Financial advisor entails, but I used to hang out with guys around your age starting in Investment Banking and they sure couldn't have found the time to trade their own account, let alone enter meaningful relationships. Actually there seems to be quite a few constraints on bank employees to trade financial markets, besides the lack of time, hence I have some doubts on the sincerity of your post. Than if financial advisor for a large bank means selling crappy products at some neighborhood branch than I can't say I have much experience with it, and not sure it is at all promising nor interesting.
Anyway if you are 23 and on path of a good career while getting laid easily, it looks like a decent path, you can worry later about settling down.

I think you’ll have a greater chance of finding true love once you let go of binary characteristics and start seeing the person behind it.

When you like a flower you pick it, if you love it you water it everyday.

Loving someone is setting their own needs before yours and having a person you want to help succeed in life, seeing them happy because you contributed to it is more powerful than any solitary success will ever be, no matter the magnitude of that effort.
Naivety is worse than robbery.

I thought this guy was outed as a scammer? I read he only teach you some really basic materials and then expect you to "swim" from there.

Who? Anton Kreill or Lux Van Dam? Lux is still teaching and has authored quite a few books.

"hell yes things could be better, am wondering if they can make a Lamborghini for guy who is 6'6" and 250lbs, yea I want enough space in it for pitbull to safeguard it when at Walmart.

Ok. You got me with that one.

All these people who are claiming you need balance in your life are just trying to make you mediocre. I will point out a few people who have no semblance of balance in their.

Tiger Woods, no balance in his life, and look at his record of the last 20 years.

Tom Brady, no balance in his life, look at his record/

Derek Jeter no balance in his life, look at his record.

The goes on and on. Balance is for the mediocre. If you are passionate about trading, then be passionate about trading and devote yourself to it. You will likely be successful.

Success in trading leads to big gains and big money, and there are no big money guys out there who have problem getting women.

In the back of my mind, I sometimes think that trading is one of the easiest way on the planet to make money but am confused why 95% of people can't do it successfully. It happens every time I look at a chart.

I wonder why 93% of people pull statistics out out of their ass.
