Wolff’s Admission to Lies in His Book Puts Him in Legal Jeopardy

I'd have to say I'm interested in public policies that generally affect local/national/global lives. To me, policies and strategies or dynamics/ systems are almost interchangeable terms.

I think that doesn't exactly mean politics but it appears to me that politics and public policies are easily intervened. Leaving many lives living in fairly uncomfortable environment and conditions. Sad!

Historically, it has been proved that some politicians are just good at creating unneeded conflicts through effective politics (sometimes even religions). That, imo, is simply a huge waste of resources which should be used for needy people and places, locally and internationally. Then a better peaceful and mindful world, I think!

Vision statement, imo, should be a good thing for modern corporations. Should vision statements be applicable to nations (that could be useful for voters to decide their meaningful votes according to their National Vision, rather than ...)?

Perhaps National Vision statement could really unite people, much more than any slogans - ad hoc!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_statement

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_statement

We of course cannot say that a nation without producing a Vision statement has no National Vision, can we? lol

imo, CEOs should be evaluated and measured according to a predefined Vision statement, rather than judged by volatile profits or opinion polls or even personal conducts or public comments published.

Otherwise, too many negative talks daily - Waste of energy and resources.

Nobody is perfect - as Man is made to make mistakes! lol

Some of you Trump guys are truly lemmings.

This book is packed with first hand accounts and embellishments by the author. It’s the type of writer this guy Wolff is. This doesn’t mean it the substance of the book isn’t true, it means it was sensationalized.

Trump is incompetent and hard to get along with. Does anyone doubt the people around him call him “semi-literate” and “f***ing stupid”? I don’t.

And to a larger point, yes Trump is stupid enough to have a reporter set up in the White House without understanding who he is what his reporting is like but what about the people around him that are supposed to check his stupidity?

That’s the scary part to me, there really is no check on this moron.

As if World peace should have been part of Vision statement for every country, any two countries talking about peace proposal should be OK.

Rather than a lot of laws/restrictions must be learned/followed to protect national interests!

Why should we make laws to prevent that?! A nation's Vision statement should override many smart laws!

2. From time to time, countries would have to update their Vision statements, like adding Environment Protection. Rather than creating unlimited number of new laws!

How many talented politicians are well-learned and well-educated in All sorts of laws, in order to be qualified and certified an elected politician?

Who's smarter?

The bad guys just sent intentionally a tiny number of terrors to kill a relatively small (when comparing to daily road toll figures) number of civilians living in western countries.

And they guessed/knew in advance the western legislators would highly possibly produce new laws that could easily limit/restrict/control our personal liberty in daily life!

By now, they already won - Perhaps smiling too!

Cf. below: I don't know whether there was any special UK law in the past designed to prevent North Irish terrors.

My impression during that time was when the Britain people just kept their daily life as usual (of course, with minimum expected interruption), without even thinking too much about any terror acts of yesterday, they and the whole nation were actually and practically winning by earning their liberty intake!

Just 2 cents! lol

The 911 event was/is possibly another example of traps! lol

The U.S. fiscal position changed dramatically for the worse during the Bush years. CBO projected in its January 2001 baseline that the U.S. would have a total of $5.6 trillion in annual surpluses over the 2002-2011 decade, assuming the laws in place during the Clinton era continued and the economy performed as expected. However, the actual deficits during those years ended up being $6.1 trillion, a negative swing of $11.7 trillion. Two recessions, two wars, and tax cuts were the primary drivers of the differences.[5][34]

Just imagine if the money spent in wars was instead used to supply all sorts of infrastructure projects to help peace-building facilities in terms of cultivating farm lands, clean water supply, agricultural technologies, farming equipment/machinery, factories, schools, technical institutes, medical training, hospitals, etc.

Perhaps through their religious leaders!?

lol

In the Gospel of Matthew, an alternative for "an eye for an eye" is given by Jesus: You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Oh, you don't think our little defense industry companies made any kind of profit off the government, do you?

Last I heard, the US government wasn't purchasing Russian armaments.

imo, certain industries should not be listed or any IPO. They should be private companies and funded jointly by private wealthy investors by means of bonds and the government to guarantee the bonds.

A listed company usually has to provide a profit growth, that would lead to produce more products. Simply a stimulation of warfare.

It is 460ft wide and soaring through space - on a possible collision course with Earth.

Nasa has identified a new asteroid threat to our planet and calculated that it could potentially impact on February 5th 2040.

The 2011 AG5 has already attracted the concern of the UN Action Team on near-Earth objects, which has begun discussing ways to divert it.
