I sure hope your analysis is wrong for the sake of the country and world. Many people will get hurt much worse.
It's not my analysis that will inflict more pain in this country.
The pain will be inflicted by the greedy and corrupt people who have broken capitalism.
The system cannot be fixed, so obviously the market will continue to reflect this.

I can see us getting to 800 soon. Maybe even 775......Worse case scenario is 750. No chance of it going lower.

I have been trading many years and I am actually putting my money where my opinion is. :)

PS. I'll be big time hedged (or bear) if we go below 750.

I think it drops a bit more than 750....

how bout to 500

Im bearish but not too bearish to predict 500, Im going to go with my s&p target of 700-750 1st and "WHEN" it does get there ill come back to predict my next s&p target.

Rowshan, you've at least gone in the direction of the best odds. We are consolidating and thus technically the chance of resuming the former trend (down) is greater than breaking out of the consolidation channel upward. However the top of that channel is getting mighty close to 1000. Perhaps if enough of you fellas will get short will have enough fuel to take us up to 1000!

I call your attention to the fact that we have now spent two weeks at the bottom of the channel in the S&P and just made a second small bodied candle at the close today, Friday. This week's and last week's candles have opposing tails. This is indicative of indecision. Finally, although bad news continues to outweigh good news, everyone is expecting a dismal first quarter to 2009 and lousy 4th quarter 2008 earnings reports. That expectation is surely baked into the market already.

Technically, we are expecting a break down but when something should happen, the longer it doesn't happen, the less likely it will happen. We've gone two weeks now waiting for the market to resume its downward flight. It hasn't happened yet. The market seems very reluctant to drop below 800. Perhaps later this year. On the other hand, perhaps on Monday morning! :D

Mr. rowshan is going for another winner!!

Mr. rowshan is sure the S&P will hit 700 before it hits 1000. Current price 851.8

There are alot of ways to make $$ here. One way is to sell S&P premium over 1000. If this thread is civil, mr. rowshan will give other ways to profit from knowing the S&P will see 700 before 1000.

I don't see any italics in the quote you refer to.

It will happen alot sooner than later this year. It will happen in early Feb.

This looks like a week that will take the S&P lower and finally start a measured move towards 700. First stop is 800.
Quote from stock_trad3r:

no no no we see 900 soon
Posts from Jan 25th (page #8) before the week began. One of us was correct.
