You've been known to have used about a dozen of aliases in the past. Why don't you report yourself to the moderators?

I've been "known" !?

No, it went from 1104 to 1175 instead of the 1000 you predicted. So you "only" missed by 17% on a market index. Given that this is the theme of the thread, your horrible call, they should close it.

Go back and read the poll. It asks which the S&P will hit first: 1000 or 1200. There was no "call." Methinks someone has problems with grade-school level math and reading comprehension (not a first here at ET).

For the record, I didn't make the poll and am not predicting anything. Markets are attracted to round numbers, so the S&P hitting 1200 doesn't prove much of anything. It's already been there once this year and then proceeded to drop almost 20% within a few months.

agreed.

I'm beginning to shift my thought here. Maybe the S&P will hit 1200. To me, that would be a headline grabber. Headline grabbers usually signify tops. So if the S&P does hit 1200, it'll be the sale of the century.

Between 1180-1200 there's little upside left in this market for sure.

Dow erased all its losses from yesterday!!!

SPX 1200 here we come!!!!!!!

Im bearish and still think were going to 1200, probably 1225.

Who knows when the rally stops but we all know it always does.

SPX 1200 coming tomorrow off of CATs earnings tomorrow morning and also job numbers.

we're skipping over 1200?

Who knows. I wouldn't put it past the SEC and NYSE to ignore all sell orders until we reach a new yearly high. Nothing surprises me now.
