Even if he resigns he will continue to be the gift from hell for trump because he caved in on the special counsel thing rather than just telling all the dems to eat shiite and ride out all the blowback.

I'll admit I'm certainly not as well versed as many of you in these matters... but I heard that voice transcript from the interview.... if I was Sessions and my boss spoke about me like that... I'd tell him to go fuck himself and I'd be a dot on the horizon come tomorrow.

Good luck w/that back lash. Even Republicans at this point agree that stonewalling the investigation would be disastrous.

The fact he recused himself is a sign that he respects his the gravity of his role. He clearly was biased and he knew it. That's who you want running the entire justice system - to ensure impartial legal system.

If he didn't recuse himself because it was "unfair" to the president then you would have someone who put personal loyalty above the interests of the US and of the constitution. In trump's world of running a family business, this is a sin; but this is what has made the American political system one of the most functional in the world.
